DRY NEEDLING

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a targeted, evidence-informed technique that uses fine, acupuncture-style needles to penetrate specific myofascial trigger points—hyperirritable nodules within tight bands of muscle tissue. Unlike traditional acupuncture, which is rooted in Eastern medicine, dry needling is based on Western anatomical and neurophysiological principles.

At Resilience Code, we use this technique to release muscular tension at its source—resetting neuromuscular tone, improving blood flow, and promoting optimal tissue healing. When the needle is inserted into a dysfunctional trigger point, it often elicits a localized twitch response—an involuntary release that helps immediately relax the muscle, restore normal length, and decrease pain.

This approach is particularly effective for addressing conditions such as:

  • Chronic neck and low back pain
  • Radicular (nerve-related) pain
  • Shoulder dysfunction and rotator cuff issues
  • Postural imbalances and athletic overuse injuries

Dry needling is frequently integrated into a broader treatment plan alongside movement retraining, manual therapy, and performance optimization. For many of our clients—ranging from elite athletes to those recovering from injury—it provides a rapid reset and accelerates the path to resilience.

EVALUATION

We begin with a thorough, whole-body movement screening process designed to identify the root causes of your pain or injury. Our experts use a system known as the Select Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and injury risk screening.
